DAY 11

“And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made the heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:”

“And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness”

Acts 4:24,31

When we pray, we must foster an awareness that we are not by ourselves, but part of a much greater whole. The enemy would love to discourage us with isolation, but this has never been the plan nor will of God. In John the 17th chapter Jesus prays for his disciples and the church. He always refers to them in the plural. Over forty times. When  we pray daily, but especially when we gather together, there is great power. Our corporate prayer in one accord brings the power of God to bear in a way nothing else  can.

Moody said “there are two ways to be united. One is by being frozen together, and the other is being melted together. What Christians need is to be United in brotherly love, then they may expect to have power.”

God, help me seek your face for the many needs around me, and to agree with my brothers and sisters in prayer. Ignite a fire of the Holy Ghost in me. Fuse me to your will and purpose. Create a drive in us to come together expecting You to do great things through us.

Jeremiah 33:3 "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty  things, which thou knowest not."
