DAY 15

Our 21 days of prayer is the perfect time to align ourselves with God and His purpose for us. When you pray, you are aligning your heart with God. When you fast, you are aligning your flesh with God. When you love and give to others, you are aligning your actions with God.

Christ says that there are no greater commandments than to LOVE GOD and LOVE OTHERS.

“And you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other  commandment greater than these.'”

Mark 12:30-31

When we LOVE GOD with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength, THEN we can truly LOVE OTHERS.

“So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, 'Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?' He said to Him, 'Yes, Lord; You know that I love  You.' He said to him, 'Feed My lambs.' He said to him again a second time, 'Simon,  son of Jonah, do you love Me?' He said to Him, 'Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.'  He said to him, 'Tend My sheep.' He said to him the third time, 'Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?' Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, 'Do you  love Me?' And he said to Him, 'Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.'  Jesus said to him, 'Feed My sheep.'”

John 21:15-17

Jesus was trying to teach Peter that if you love others, help others, teach others, and give to others, you are putting your love for God in action.

“By this shall all men know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”  John 13:35

Today ask God:

- To search your heart and thoughts – so that they line up with His Word and His purpose in your life

- To teach us the way to love others
